A sexualidade na maternidade é um tema pouco debatido entre os casais. Entretanto, é super pertinente falar sobre, já que afeta ambas as partes de maneiras muito diferentes.⠀

É importante ter em mente que o corpo feminino é regido por ciclos e hormônios, o que já colabora para que o desejo sexual seja afetado em vários momentos da vida. Durante a gravidez, por exemplo, os hormônios oscilam como uma montanha russa. A mulher pode ter altos e baixos de libido, podendo manter um ou outro. O que pode interferir diretamente no processo da sexualidade no período da maternidade é a baixa auto estima e a ansiedade.

É importante que essa mãe se sinta cuidada e amparada. No nascimento do bebê é sim comum a perda da libido sexual para o deslocamento da energia no bem estar do bebê e na apropriação do que significa para aquela mulher o se fazer mãe.⠀

Algumas se sentem muito desconfortáveis com as novas curvas ou têm medo de sentir dor nas primeiras relações sexuais. A Dor é um processo subjetivo, cada mulher vai passar pelo pós parto com as suas dores.⠀

O companheiro precisa ser parceiro, entender e apoiar essa nova mãe.

A demonstração de afeto e cuidado neste momento é essencial. O parceiro que exige da mulher um rápido retorno do investimento na vida a dois está colaborando para que o processo seja mais difícil. É importante entender que é uma fase, logo as questões se normalizam e o casal volta a ter o importante espaço de intimidade afetiva/sexual. ⠀

O importante é saber que tudo tem seu tempo. Manter um diálogo aberto na relação a dois torna esse momento mais leve para o casal, invistam nisso.
